The Promise

A clear, brave path to come home for good, by aligning with what you truly want, facing your fears, repurposing your skills, and building a plan to thrive back home.

It’s about shifting how you work and earn so you can finally return to the life and people you love.

The Story Behind It

I wrote this after being home for good for more than 12 years.

Not from theory. From real life.

I know the weight of the daily tug-of-war: to financially provide or to physically be there.

Every OFW knows this battle. You provide for the people you love and in the process, feel the ache of missing them.

Brave Shift for Good is my way of helping others find what I found: that it’s possible to create a life where you no longer have to choose.

You can shift how you work. You can shift how you earn. And yes, you can come home for good.

What You'll Learn and Get from the book Brave Shift for Good:

  • Phase 1: The Bravery to Admit What You Want

Inside Brave Shift for Good, you’ll first face the real question: what do YOU want?

The eBook walks you through clarity exercises that help you name what’s been hiding behind the “next contract” cycle.

It also helps you gently dance with the fears and doubts that naturally come with wanting to go home.

You’re not broken for feeling torn.

    You’re just waking up.

  • Phase 2: Repurposing What You Already Have

Once you’re clearer and braver, the next phase is about action.

We’ll guide you through how to take your skills, work experience, and natural talents and reimagine them into income possibilities back home.

This is not about starting over from scratch.

It’s about starting aligned, with what fits who you are now.

You’ll begin mapping out opportunities that actually excite you not just pay the bills.

  • Phase 3: Planting and Living the Plan

Finally, Brave Shift helps you plant your OFW escape plan.

    No fluff.

You’ll define your steps, your timeline, and the support you’ll need.

This is the part where the idea stops being a dream and becomes a plan and a life.

This Is For You If:

  • You want to come home but don’t know how.

About the Author Liza

There was a time when Liza Dela Cruz believed that the only way to be a good mother was to work abroad.

She spent more than four years in Abu Dhabi, waking up in a different country while her two young daughters woke up without her. She learned to hide her homesickness behind video calls and smiles, even when her heart felt like it was slowly breaking.

She told herself, “Para sa kanila ito.”
Until one day, she received a call from home — a call that made her realize: She was providing for her children…but she was no longer present in their lives. That moment changed everything.

With debt, no savings, and nothing but courage, Liza made the life-altering decision to go home for good. She took a chance on herself, rebuilt her confidence, repurposed her skills, and started her journey into a virtual career.

Within months, she became a full-time Project Manager for an international executive coaching company, a career she continues to thrive in 11 years later, working from home or anywhere in the world.

Today, Liza helps OFWs who feel the same quiet ache she once carried.
She helps them build the courage, clarity, and confidence to shift into a better life, a life where they no longer have to choose between providing for their family and being present with them.

Brave Shift for Good™ is not just her book.
It is her story, her lesson, and her offering to every OFW who dreams of coming home without losing stability or self-worth.

Her journey is proof of one truth she wants every OFW to believe:
You can provide for your family without losing yourself and coming home for good is not just possible, it’s within reach.

Why I Wrote This Book

I wrote Brave Shift for Good™ for the OFW I used to be, the one who cried in silence, the one who felt guilty for wanting to go home, the one who thought her only value was how much she could send every month.

I wrote this book because I know how heavy the choice between provision and presence can be.
I wrote it because I lived the fear of going home and starting over.
I wrote it because no one handed me a roadmap. I had to build my own.

And I don’t want other OFWs to go through their journey the hard way, the lonely way, the “tiis na lang” way.

This book is my way of passing the light forward, a guide for OFWs who feel stuck, scared, homesick, or uncertain…
a companion for anyone who prays for a different life but doesn’t know where to begin…
and a reminder that you are not selfish for wanting more time, more peace, more purpose, and more of the life you’ve missed.

I wrote this book because every OFW deserves the chance to come home — not broken, not burned out, but brave, whole, and ready to start again.
