Brave Shift for Good

The Book That Shows OFWs How to Stop Choosing Between Providing for Their Family and Being Present Because You Deserve Both.

Every OFW carries a silent battle:

“Kailangan ko mag-provide…
pero kailangan din ako ng pamilya ko.”

You work abroad to give them a better life. But in the process, you lose the one thing they want most—YOU.

For years, you’ve been forced to choose:

Provision or Presence.
Income or Moments.
Security or Sanity.

And every day, you choose provision…even when your heart aches for presence. But what if this “choice” was never meant to be forever?

What if you can finally choose BOTH?

This is the heart of Brave Shift for Good™.
You can provide for your family and be present with them.
This book shows you how.

This isn’t motivation.
This isn’t hype.
This is your roadmap back to your life, your family, and yourself.

Why This Book Matters

It’s not fantasy.
It’s movement — the first real step toward a life where you get to be both a provider and a parent who is present.

For the OFW Who is Tired of Choosing Between Provision & Presence

Your family deserves stability.
But they deserve you, too.

And you know it in your heart.

You feel it every birthday you miss.
Every video call cut short by different time zones.
Every balikbayan box filled with love but not presence.
Every whispered prayer:

“Sana andito ako… pero kailangan ko magtrabaho.”

You’ve sacrificed enough.
You’ve proven strength in ways only OFWs understand.

Now it’s time to build a life where you no longer choose between:

✔ Feeding them
✔ And being with them

That is the Brave Shift.

This Book is For You IF...

You’re tired of asking for leaves that never get approved.
You’re tired of being strong alone.
You’re tired of missing your children grow up through screens.
You’re tired of living in survival mode.
You’re tired of putting your dreams on hold.

And you’re ready — even secretly — to start reclaiming your life.

If your chest feels heavy but hopeful…
If you’ve been wondering if there’s another path…
If you want a life where you can earn and be home…

Then this book is your answer.

You are ready.
And you know it.

THE REAL FEAR ISN’T TRYING.

It’s being in the same place five years from now.

While you’re here…
other OFWs are already shifting.

They’re learning new earning paths.
They’re mapping out safe transitions.
They’re choosing presence without losing provision.
They’re preparing for a peaceful, stable, dignified return home.

You can stay where you are.
Or you can start your Brave Shift today.

About the Author Liza

There was a time when Liza Dela Cruz believed that the only way to be a good mother was to work abroad.

She spent more than four years in Abu Dhabi, waking up in a different country while her two young daughters woke up without her. She learned to hide her homesickness behind video calls and smiles, even when her heart felt like it was slowly breaking.

She told herself, “Para sa kanila ito.”
Until one day, she received a call from home — a call that made her realize: She was providing for her children…but she was no longer present in their lives. That moment changed everything.

With debt, no savings, and nothing but courage, Liza made the life-altering decision to go home for good. She took a chance on herself, rebuilt her confidence, repurposed her skills, and started her journey into a virtual career.

Within months, she became a full-time Project Manager for an international executive coaching company, a career she continues to thrive in 11 years later, working from home or anywhere in the world.

Today, Liza helps OFWs who feel the same quiet ache she once carried.
She helps them build the courage, clarity, and confidence to shift into a better life, a life where they no longer have to choose between providing for their family and being present with them.

Brave Shift for Good™ is not just her book.
It is her story, her lesson, and her offering to every OFW who dreams of coming home without losing stability or self-worth.

Her journey is proof of one truth she wants every OFW to believe:
You can provide for your family without losing yourself and coming home for good is not just possible, it’s within reach.

Why I Wrote This Book

I wrote Brave Shift for Good™ for the OFW I used to be, the one who cried in silence, the one who felt guilty for wanting to go home, the one who thought her only value was how much she could send every month.

I wrote this book because I know how heavy the choice between provision and presence can be.
I wrote it because I lived the fear of going home and starting over.
I wrote it because no one handed me a roadmap. I had to build my own.

And I don’t want other OFWs to go through their journey the hard way, the lonely way, the “tiis na lang” way.

This book is my way of passing the light forward, a guide for OFWs who feel stuck, scared, homesick, or uncertain…
a companion for anyone who prays for a different life but doesn’t know where to begin…
and a reminder that you are not selfish for wanting more time, more peace, more purpose, and more of the life you’ve missed.

I wrote this book because every OFW deserves the chance to come home — not broken, not burned out, but brave, whole, and ready to start again.
